VISITATION MINISTRY: If you know of anyone who might enjoy a visit from our Visitation Ministry...especially during the colder winter months we will be happy to arrange a time to call on them. Call Robbie 706-779-2342.
The Ladies Luncheon Group will meet at the Bamboo House Restaurant (near the old Bilo) on Thursday, February 20th at 11:30 am. Please call Robbie 706-779-2342 or Mary 706-886-0627 if you can come so we can make the reservation. Thanks.
FOOD DRIVE: Thanks to all who donated bags of rice. We gathered 50+ pounds.
The week-end of February 23 & 24 please remember to bring bags of ANY KIND OF
DRIED BEANS. We can help fight hunger with our donations.
BEREAVEMENT COMMITTEE: Many years ago a Bereavement Committee was established to serve the needs of a grieving
family from St. Mary's whose immediate family member, living in their home, had passed away. A luncheon
will be served in the social hall following the funeral, if the family wishes. There are many ways to help in addition to setting up,
serving and cleaning up the hall. You may donate to the cost of the food to be served, buy breads
and desserts, or prepare a salad, casserole, or dessert. You may contact a team member if
you are not able to bring your food, and you may request which team you would prefer to belong to. The kindness we show for a
grieving family will be returned for us someday. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex. A copy of the current teams
and members will also be
posted. Questions? Please call Sharon Argento - 706-282-7760 or Rita Nash - 706-356-1247.
PRAYER CHAIN: Are you willing to pray for the needs of others at St. Mary's when they have a sudden family emergency or illness?
If so, consider signing up to be "link" on the Prayer Chain. You will be asked to call the next
person on the list. Look for the sign up sheet in the narthex. We ask that current volunteers
also sign up if you are able to continue this important work. Questions? Betty Harper - 706-886-1610 or Barbara Watson -
706-886-2282
LORD’S HOUSEKEEPERS: I am asking for the help of all parish members, men, women, and teens.
We need your help with cleaning the church. The more we have the
less that has to be done by the same ones, over and over.
Would you please come to our aid? Please call Barbara Watson at 706-886-2282.
THANKS: I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and cards during my
recent hip replacement surgery. The surgery and my recovery is going better than I could have imagined and your support during
this time is greatly appreciated. Jim Ruetten
