FOOD DRIVE:  The Ladies Guild would like to thank everyone for your generous giving to our food drive. 
Every month has been better an dbetter. The last weekend of the month will be the last weekend to bring
 your items. Thank so much! For the month of August, we are collecting peanut butter and jelly.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is seeking artists and craftsmen for their art and crafts show in November. Sacred Heart Catholic Church

1009 Benson Street, Hartwell announces its first Arts and Crafts show to be held on Saturday, November 15 from 9AM to 3PM in the hall at the

church. The church is seeking artists and craftsmen who wish to display and sell their wares at rented tables. Tables are available for $25 each for

 the show. Please contact Judy Earle at (706) 376-3476 for more information and to reserve tables.

 

WE ARE BACK in session! Wednesday, August 13, 2008, is the 1st meeting of the "New Year" for the Ladies Guild. All women of St. Mary's

are members of the Guild. We need, want, look forward to

having you attend the meeting at 1:00 p.m. in the Social Hall. Your thoughts and ideas on the projects for the Guild will help us be successful this year.

Please join us!!

 

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Our regular meeting will be Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at 7:30 pm.

 

MARRIAGE BLESSING: The date for the marriage blessing for August Anniversaries is set for Sunday, August 24th at the 8:30 Mass.

 

SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF OUR BLESSED MARY: Father Walter Foley will be saying Mass on Friday, August 15, 2008, at 7:30 pm.

 

On TT Tuesday, August 26,  we will be making beaded trivets @ 6:00 and learning the game, Mexican Train @ 7:00. If you are interested in joining us

 for either/both, or a different game of your choice, please call Sharon @ 706-282-7760If you are planning on doing the craft, I need to know ASAP,

as De will be teaching the craft & will pick-up the needed supplies & will also need to know what color beads you would like. The cost of the craft is

unknown at this time, but look in the bulletin for further info.  An example of the craft will be on the church bulletin board soon.  We hope to see you there

@ 6:00 or 7:00.    

LADIES LUNCH BUNCH

Our next luncheon will be Thursday, August 21, 11:30 at Zanzo's in Clarkesville.  We will meet at 10:45 in the church parking lot to car pool or caravan to

 Clarkesville.  PLEASE CALL MARY RUETTEN (706/886-0627) IF YOU WILL BE JOINING US SO A RESERVATION CAN BE MADE.
